Description:
Our offering of Vetiver oil (South India) is extracted from Vetiveria zizanoides of the Gramineae family. It has an earthy, musty smell and is obtained through the process of steam distillation.
History:
In India and Sri Lanka, Vetiver Essential Oil is known as the “oil of tranquility”. This is directly applicable to its common applications as a relaxing and comforting oil.

Aroma : Tones of earthy, woody scent
Constituents:
benzoic acid, vetiverol, vetiverone, vitivene, cadinene, furfurol, a and b-vetivone, vetivene and vetivenyl vetivenate.
Uses:
Vetiver oil is very effective in calming and soothing the mind. It helps to dispel anger, hysteria, irritability and neurotic behavior. It revitalizes the body and helps make up for mental and physical exhaustion; and is also helpful for general aches and pains, especially for rheumatism, arthritis and muscular pain.
